Local astronomer shares the stars

A part of the towns's Snowman Mania series of events this winter, I came across this event organized by a local astronomer, Chris Vaughan. I'm super impressed with an individual taking the initiative to share an interest or passion that they have and inspire others.

What's a nebulae?

Chris will have professional telescopes on-hand to bring Mars and Jupiter into view. Apparently, there are also things called double stars, star clusters, and nebulae that will be on show. Astronomy is one of those subjects where we've all heard bits and pieces, but very few of us understand; this is a great opportunity to change that.

Wheather permitting

One particularly great idea of Chris's was to ensure that the event will go on no matter what. Clouds and/or snow? No problem. Chris will move the event indoors and walk attendees through various apps that he uses to access the same constellations.

What's your passion or interest? Thought about sharing it with others. Chris has certainly made me think. 🤔
